Oyo LG Polls: Ido PDP Leaders Elect Tijani Jamiu Olaide As Councillorship Candidate.
The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in ward 04(Apete) of Ido Local Government has elected Honourable Jamiu Olaide Tijani as the councillorship candidate of the party, in the local government, ahead of the forthcoming local council elections.
Tijani emerged as the candidate for the ward in the party’s primary election held today at Apete, in the local government.
Tijani defeated the incumbent, Hon. Azeez Yahya and another contestant, Hon. Damola Nureni.
Tijani polled 6 votes, Yahya polled 4 votes and Nureni had zero vote.
The primary was presided over by the state Auditor, Leader Adelabu Aderemi Alaba.
The Leaders that voted at the party primaries are Leader Akano Mathew Kayode, Leader Nureni Adeyemi, Leader Akani Lawal, Leader Magaji Sunday Akanbi, Leader Ramoni Baba Lagbaje, Alaji Biliaminu Muraina, Leader Kehinde Babaloja, Leader Alhaji Ojo Alabi, Leader Yisahu Tiamiyu and Leader Abolade Akani.
The leaders congratulated Tijani and urged other contestants to team up together with him promising that the party has good assignments at another levels for all committed party’s members and aspirants.” We salute you all and we want to urge you to continue mobilising for the party ahead of the election. The Ward 04 of Ido Local Government Councillorship Standardbearer under the platform of PDP, Hon. Tijani lauded Gov. Makinde’s visionary leadership, thanked his party’s leaders and solicited for his co-contestants’ full supports while promising all inclusive representation.
