Oyo: LG Vice Chairmen Visit Ex- First Lady, Dr Florence Ajimobi, Extol Her Virtues, Laud Gov Abiola Ajimobi’s Legacies.
Earlier today, the democratically elected Local Government and LCDA Vice Chairmen paid a courtesy visit to the wife of the Late Deputy National Chairman of the APC and Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Chief(Dr) Florence Ajimobi at Her Excellency’s Oluyole residence in Ibadan.
The forum of the Vice Chairmen extolled Dr Ajimobi’s virtues and described her as a best mother of the state, First Lady, not only in Oyo-State but also in Nigeria.
They used the avenue to pay tribute to Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi and described him as a seasoned administrator and legendary figure of all times.
While giving his own opening remarks, Chief Olawale Ademola(AGBA-DEMO) maintained that the main purpose of the visit is to pay Her Excellency homage, to pay late Governor Ajimobi tribute and appreciate the former Governor,even, in death .
On behalf of the other Vice Chairmen, Ademola lauded Dr Ajimobi and thanked Her for sustaining the good legacies of late Gov Ajimobi. He appreciated the Matriarch of Abiola Ajimobi family for her unrelenting service to humanity and he reaffirmed the forum’s commitment to the progress of the party, All Progressives Congress(APC) in the state as one of the legacies left behind by late Ajimobi.
While commenting, the Vice Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Jacob Akintola adored late Governor Ajimobi’s magnanimity and sagacity while he was alive. He described the late Governor and his success stories as immortal.
Akintola described Chief Ajimobi as a blessing to humanity and thanked her for always counting the Vice Chairmen and others as her own children.
In her own remarks, the Vice Chairperson of Ibadan East LCDA, Hon(Mrs) Olubunmi Bankole thanked God for the life of Dr Ajimobi.
Bankole appreciated the Matriarch for her kind gesture for all and sundry. She extolled Ajimobi’s legacies and prayed for Dr Ajimobi. “May God grant you more strength and longevity to serve humanity more and preserve our Patriarch, Ajimobi’s Legacies”, Bankole said.
While responding, the President of Senator Abiola Ajimobi Foundation(SAAF), Dr(Mrs) Ajimobi prayed for the vice chairmen and saluted their courage. She extolled Ajimobi’s virtues and prayed for his soul to always be blessed.
Chief Ajimobi used the avenue to felicitate with the Muslim faithful on the observance of the holy month, Ramadan.
Dr Ajimobi maintained that due to his good legacies, rare service to the state and humanity, “Governor Ajimobi is immoral.
On party politics, Dr Ajimobi preached unity and oneness. She encouraged all party members to bury their hatchets and work together as one big progressive family to coast home victory in 2023.
The Vice Chairperson of Iwa LCDA, Hon. Abigail Gbolasire while giving vote of thanks praised Dr Ajimobi for always being there for people, especially, women.
The opening prayer was given by the Vice Chairman of Aare Latosa LCDA, Comrade Monsur Akin-Adeyemo(Socrates) while the closing prayer was given by the Vice Chairperson of Omi-Apata LCDA, Hon. Erelu Aderonke Alasaro.
