Oyo North: Again, Senator Buhari Expend N10 Million to Empower ‘Vulnerable’ Women, ‘Unemployed’ Youth in Ogbomoso

The senator representing the good people of Oyo North Senatorial District, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai, in collaboration with Federal Cooperative College, Kaduna, has empowered a total of 100 vulnerable women and unemployed youths in Oyo North Senatorial District.
The women and youths were extensively trained in various capacity-building activities at Igbo Community Hall, Opposite Legion House, Maryland Primary School, Ogbomoso.
At the training held between Wednesday, 12th, and Friday, 14th, February, 2025, the beneficiaries were tutored on various opportunities available in present-day Nigeria to be self-reliant and self-employed.
The training anchored by Inditex Global Services Limited offered a series of opportunities through which vulnerable women and unemployed youths can leverage various empowerment programmes available under the Bola Tinubu-led federal government to improve their standard of living and better their lives.
In his remarks while presenting the startup package of N100,000 and certificate of participation to the beneficiaries, Senator Buhari, who was represented at the occasion by a former chairman of the governing board, Federal Polytechnic, Daura, Katsina State, Alhaji Wasiu Oladimeji Dauda, commended the beneficiaries for their outstanding comportment from the beginning to the end of the three-day training.
According to Senator Buhari, the beneficiaries were charged to tap into the knowledge acquired during the training to ponder how to effectively make use of their startup packages to start small-scale businesses, while he prayed that very soon they would all have breakthroughs and become economically independent constituents of Oyo North.
“I congratulate you all for being lucky to be here and being part of this training, and so I am advising you to go out there and start a business of your own, having all that you have been taught here at heart, and so become successful and employers of labour,” Senator Buhari said.
The beneficiaries, in their words of appreciation, commended Senator Buhari for having the love of his people at heart while they declared that they have never regretted supporting him to emerge as their senator for the three consecutive terms.
“We are convinced that God is with Senator Buhari, and so we are solidly behind him, come rain or come sunshine,” one of the beneficiaries stated.
It shall be recalled that the lawmaker has been empowering 100 constituents of Oyo North Senatorial District every week since the beginning of this year, 2025, at different local government headquarters within the district.
