A leading Senatorial Hopeful on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo South District, come 2023, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has written the leadership of his party, APC and demanded for delegates’ list meant for the party’s primaries in the district.
In a letter written by his lawyer, Okanlomo of Ibadan Land, Akanbi frowned at hiding the list by party leadership and threatened legal redress, if the matter is not properly addressed.

REQUEST FOR THE LIST OF OYO SOUTH SENATORIAL APC DELEGATES FOR THE YEAR 2022 PRIMARY ELECTION OF THE PARTY.
We act as solicitors to the Senator Adesoji Rilwan Akanbi of No. 4 Adebayo Ayorinde Street, Gericho, Ibadan, Oyo State on whose behalf and instructions we write upon the following terms and hence he is hereinafter referred to as “Our Client”:
(a) That our client is one of the aspirants that is vying for the Oyo South Senatorial candidacy of your party (APC) that was slated to hold on 28 May, 2022 (today).
(b)That despite the fact that that our client has been duly cleared by the Screening Committee of your party to contest for the said primary election, yet he has not been provided with the list of the delegates that will participate in the said shadow election of your party already fixed for today.
(c) Also in a pre election meeting that your committee had with our client together with other aspirants where you promised to make the list available before the Election Day to all the aspirants, our client inclusive, yet till this moment which is just few hours to the election, same has not been made available to our client.
it is in view of the foregoing that we are, in the spirit of fair play, requesting for the list of the delegates that is voting today otherwise we will be left with no any other option on behalf of our client than to seek redress at the court of law.
We are respectfully hopeful that the above humble request will soon be granted within the shortest possible time to our client, in the interest of fair play, Justice, equity and sustainability of internal democracy in your great party, because concealing of the list of delegates from our client before the forthcoming shadow election is totally akin to
mockery of democracy.
