Oyo South 2027: I Promise to Serve You Meritoriously – Chief Wasiu Ajimobi

Chief Wasiu Ajimobi, a leading aspirant for the Oyo South Senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2027 and the Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadanland, has pledged to provide exemplary representation if given the mandate.

At the APC meeting in Ward 2 of Ibadan Southeast, held on Sunday at the Ajimobi compound, Ojaaba in Ibadan , Chief Ajimobi expressed gratitude to the party members for their dedication and resilience, praying for a fruitful return on their efforts.
“My leaders, fathers, mothers, friends and fellow party faithful, I humbly stand before you today as your son, brother, and steadfast servant leader. I am one of you, and I am here to announce my aspiration to represent the Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly come 2027, on the platform of our great party, APC.

“Throughout my life, service to people has been my passion. With all senses of humility, I have actively contributed to the success of others, and I am committed to making a significant impact through effective representation in the Senate. If you entrust me with this mandate, I passionately promise to serve you wholeheartedly and make you proud.


Chief Ajimobi also urged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection and called for a unified effort toward progressive governance in Oyo State and the overall success of the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
Earlier, Hon. Jelell Badmus Arolu, the Ward 2 chairman, welcomed Chief Ajimobi, praising him as a valuable asset to the ward, local government, senatorial district, and the entire state.
Arolu highlighted the remarkable legacy of the Ajimobi family in enhancing the progress of Ibadanland, Oyo State, and Nigeria. He emphasised Chief Wasiu Ajimobi’s reputable track record of selfless service and reminded party members of the enduring contributions of the Ajimobi lineage.

In his remarks, Alhaji Ismail Abdul-Sallam (Baba Akin), former Special Assistant on disability affairs to the late Governor Ajimobi, commended Chief Ajimobi for his role in his political career and shared memories of his foundational contributions.
Alhaja Adenike Quadri, in her goodwill message, recognised Chief Ajimobi as a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, expressing confidence in his ability to elevate Oyo South and provide quality representation.
Other party leaders, including former Ward 2 Chairman, Hon. Ishola Ibrahim Adekunle, and current youth leader, Hon. Kazeem Adetunji Adeleke, echoed the message of solidarity support, recounting Chief Ajimobi’s numerous contributions to the wards, local government and state, and urging constituents to back his senatorial bid.
The party members unanimously endorsed Chief Ajimobi’s senatorial agenda and pledged their unwavering support for the pro-people politician’s aspiration.
