Oyo South: Akin Olajide Meets Ibadan North-East APC Leaders, Sues for Peace, Fosters Unity (PHOTOS).

Jubilant moment in Ibadan Northeast Local Government Area, as a Front line Senatorial Aspirant in Oyo South, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Alhajii Akin Olajide held a united meeting with all leaders and stakeholders of the party in the local government at Bolude Hall, Alafara Olubadan, Ibadan, capital of Oyo-State.

In his remarks, Chief Rasheed Babalola noted that “this meeting is what we called ‘Oyato’. Firstly, this is our first sitting for a senatorial aspirant in Ibadan Northeast. Secondly, Akin Olajide’s meeting brings all leaders, irrespective of their camps, together. Thirdly, four aspirants are emerging in our local government as we speak. This shows that our Local Government is back to his political relevancy, since the demise of leaders like Baba Akinjide, Baba Adisa Akinloye and the likes.

Babalola continued,”All of you, Senatorial Aspirants, are our sons, if you utilize your chances, you will surely emerge. All the senatorial aspirants in Oyo South shall not loose. He urged every members to unite and work for the success of APC in the coming election.

While commending Akin Olajide, Mogaji Ismaila Adepoju, appreciated God and stated that,”I’m happy to be here. What happened today in Ibadan Northeast should also spread across all the local governments in the state so that our party will become stronger. God wants to use Akin Olajide to unite all the camps in Ibadan Northeast APC. Having an executive in power is a blessing. Lack of understanding, contributed to our loss in 2019 election. Let us, leaders and members, unite”,he urged.

While addressing other leaders, former local council Chairman, and Commissioner under Governor Ajimobi’s administration, Prince Gbade Lana, revealed that he served in the same government with Alhaji Akin Olajide.”All APC members need to change their thought and think critically. Let us call another leaders’ meeting to consolidate in fostering unity in our party”

Akin Olajide appreciated God and commended all the leaders in attendance.”Division in Oyo APC has caused more harms than good to all members. The situation in APC is deceitful and counter deceitful. When Governor Ajimobi was the Chief Security Officer in this state, the situation was not worsened like it is now under Engr Makinde. Let’s all unite to give good people of Oyo-State quality governance and purposeful leadership they deserve.

“APC under Gov. Ajimobi flourished. Unity was our power. What we are disagreeing on has no meaning, so, let us unite and take APC back to power in Oyo State.

“I’m urging you to support me on my aspiration. If God wants what I am requesting from you to come true, it will surely come to pass. I have not thought senatorial ambition, that I have been so long giving back to society, especially, in Ibadan North East. I constructed wells and boreholes in Elepo and Aladorin Compounds, Ward 4 area. Continuing,” Three things I need from you, Grace of God, Canvass for me, and pray for me”, he appealed.
