In his continuous efforts to foster unity and propagate peace in Oyo APC – All Progressives Congress(APC), former Secretary to the State Government and a frontline Senatorial Hopeful in Oyo South, Alhaj Abdul-Waheed Akin Olajide had a successful meeting with APC leaders in Ibadan Northwest Local Government Area at Broadmind Model College, Idi-Ishin, Ibadan, Oyo-State.
In his remarks, Alh Muili Oluokun saluted Akin-Olajide’s courage and said that we want you since you’re a man of integrity.”I love the way you are very concerned about the party and its unity.
While commending Akin Olajide, one of the frontline leaders in the Local Government, Alhaj Jelil Agboola hailed Olajide and said that,”The way you speak has justified the reason former Governor, Senator Isiaq Ajimobi appointed you as SSG. Most people don’t understand the truth about how to elect a quality representative. Some of us have decided to work for an aspirant. We’ve heard you, so we’ll later decide whom we will work for.
Former MDG Director during Governor Ajimobi led Administration, Engineer Fawole highlighted that the totality of Akin Olajide’s speech is really progressive in nature.”I don’t know where you choose your pedigree. I just wish to encourage you to continue to speak to people like this, it will enhance your chances to become senator”, he advised.
While responding, Akin Olajide urged all the leaders in attendance to continue to promote peace and foster unity among all the party members. He said,”I’m not happy with what I am hearing on social media regarding third force. If you want to win election in today’s Nigeria, it is either you join APC or PDP, although, PDP is a wrong choice, even, if third force has emerged, it might be strong but it is not a solution. Everyone should come together and work for the party to succeed in the coming election. I will raise the bar on quality and pro-people representation. I won’t abandon you”,he assured.
“I will take the party from where it is now to a more better level in Oyo South. In Bible, God used Joseph’s enemy for him, he can use anybody for me to emerge as APC candidate as well. Support me I won’t disappoint you”,he urged.
