Senator-elect, in Oyo South Senatorial District, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli has organized a get-together dinner for the media practitioners in the state, in appreciation of their solidarity supports towards his victory, at the polls.
While addressing the gathering, the influential grassroot politician, Barr. Alli assured the good people of Oyo South Senatorial District of a quality and purposeful representation in the Upper Chamber. The legal luminary also assured his constituents of a coordinated distribution of dividends of democracy, especially, to the people at grass roots level, in the senatorial district, during the course of the 10th National Assembly.

Alli reiterated his appreciation to media practitioners in the State, in general and the cross section in attendance, particularly, for their various contributions to his victory at the polls. These include pressmen from the print, electronic and online media houses.
Barr Alli expressed his desire for their continued solidarity supports and progressive engagement with media to produce a constant flow of constructive feedbacks geared towards an efficient and effective representation of the good people of the Senatorial District.
While fielding questions from journalists, at the event, Barr Alli hinted that a key point in his manifesto, with regards to the devolution of powers to the federating units and the strengthening of democratic institutions, has already received a major boost with the constitutional amendment, the Fifth Alteration Bill No 33, Devolution of Powers (National Grid System), signed into law to allow Nigeria’s 36 states to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in regions covered by the national grid.
The Senator-elect, Alli also revealed his plans, at the earliest opportunity, among others, to initiate the necessary processes needed to upgrade the state medical facility in Igbo Ora into a federal medical institution; effect the provision of water in abundance for agrarian areas, as well as market communities and other strategic places, in the Senatorial District.”I’ve prioritized hosting of a town hall meeting, at least once or twice in a year.
