Oyo State : Axe Dangles Over Top Ministry Officials As Makinde Sets Up Probe Panel
OYOINSIGHT.COM had exclusively reported how some senior civil servants had been redeployed for allegedly pruning the cost of construction of three car parks proposed by Engr Seyi Makinde , Governor of Oyo State .
A week after the redeployment of the affected directors and deputy directors from the ministry of works and transport to the ministry of agriculture and natural resources, there are new developments regarding the fate of the top ministry officials .
Africano trumpeters reliably gathered that there are series of allegations levelled against them ranging from sabotage, disloyalty, negligence and deliberate inflation of costs of contracts. It is learnt that the workers who have resumed at their new offices have started appearing before a civil service probe panel from yesterday to answer the accusations preferred against them.
“Some forms have been designed for the workers to fill and explain their offences. Some grievous allegations are contained in the forms and the punishment, if carried out to the letter, could be bigger than mere redeployment,” A source stated .
It was, although , learnt that a number of them have reached out to some influential figures and retired senior civil servants who have started interceding for them before Gov. Seyi Makinde .
There are different allegations and counter allegations as regard the unfolding drama between the employer, Oyo State Government under the watch of Engr Seyi Makinde and their employees, the affected directors and deputy directors of ministry of works and transport .
