Oyo State: Senator Akanbi’s RAAF Foundation Revolutionises Healthcare
The people of Oyo South Senatorial District will long remember Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi, who represents them in the National Assembly, for his numerous good deeds. Through his foundation, RAAF, Senator Akanbi recently embarked on a free healthcare support scheme tour across his constituency. In partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, the RAAF health project provides free medical tests, treatments, and surgeries to the people of Oyo South Senatorial District.
This initiative has brought immense joy to the beneficiaries, who have been spreading the good news and craving for more. The free health services include screening, follow-up treatment, and medical operations as needed. Senator Akanbi has also partnered with NGOs like Lions’ Club to make the program a huge success.
In a chat with thefactualnews, Senator Akanbi listed the aspects of surgery and treatments being offered, including cleft-lip, cataract, infertility, diabetes, hypertension, and other related health issues. Beneficiaries received tokens to cover their transportation expenses.
Professor Temitope Alonge, Former Chief Medical Director of UCH, Ibadan, commended Senator Akanbi’s RAAF Health Support Scheme, praising his support for patients who cannot afford treatment. Senator Akanbi has hinted that this is just the beginning of good things to come for Oyo South Senatorial District and Oyo State.
