The Young Business Owners in Oyo state have congratulated Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, MFR, over her appointment as the new Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment in Nigeria
“We, the Young Business Owners in Oyo State, are thrilled to extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, MFR, on her appointment as the new Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment of Nigeria. This well-deserved appointment is a testament to Dr. Oduwole’s exceptional leadership and expertise in driving economic growth and development.
We fondly recall her remarkable achievements, including Nigeria’s improved ranking on the World Bank’s Ease-Of-Doing-Business index, the passage of the Company and Allied Matters Act 2020, and the Business Facilitation Act 2023. Her efforts have also led to the establishment of Small Claims Courts in all states, among other notable accomplishments.
As young business owners, we recognise the Ministry’s vital role in fostering a conducive business environment, promoting entrepreneurship, and attracting investments. We eagerly look forward to collaborating with Dr. Oduwole and her team to address the challenges facing our sector.
Under her leadership, we anticipate innovative initiatives that will stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and enhance Nigeria’s global competitiveness. Her commitment to promoting made-in-Nigeria products and supporting small and medium-scale enterprises will undoubtedly have a positive impact on our economy. As a Ph.D holder in International Trade, we expect her to expand the Ministry’s frontiers by actively encouraging and facilitating foreign direct investments.
