OYO: SUBEB Reinstates Ganiyu Akeem • “God Has Vindicated Me” – Says TLF BoT Chair.

Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board(OYO SUBEB) has reinstated Chairman, Board of Trustees(BoT) of Tinubu Legacy Forum(TLF), Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem back to teaching service, in the state.

Recall Akeem is among the victims of circumstances that were wrongfully dismissed and compulsorily retired by the past administration.

In a media chat with the newsmen, in Ibadan, after the reinstatement, Alh. Akeem thanked Almighty God for vindicating him as integrous and pious man who has never manipulated his ways or doctored his certificates.”I’d been wrongfully dismissed for the past five years and six month. It’s not been easy but I thank Almighty Allah for vindicating me and granting me victory. I thank all that have stood by me through out the period of the struggles, and on behalf of myself and others, I thank Oyo State government under the watch of Engr Seyi Makinde for setting the records straight and calling us back to service. Thank you Your Excellency and thank you everybody.

The reinstatement letter signed by Oyo SUBEB Director of Administration and Supplies, Mr H.T Salami, on behalf of the Executive chairman, routed through Education Secretary, Ibadan South-West LGUBEA and sent to Ganiyu Akeem Adesina of A.U.D. Foko, reads in part,”Re: Report of Various Cases of Wrongful Dismissal/Compulsory Retirement of Officers from Year 2011-2012. I am directed to inform you that the State Executive Council has approved your reinstatement into the service of the Board having confirmed the genuineness of your certificate from Ministry of Education (Grade 11) upon which your earlier dismissal from the service of the State was based.

The letter stated further,“I am to add that the State Executive Council further approved that the period you were away from service should be regarded as leave of absence without pay and also form part of your length of service for retirement purposes. Thank you.
