Oyo: Their Removal Is Unconstitutional – APC Tells Ibadan North Party’s Leadership, Reinstates Omotosho, Oladitan, Olayode
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, under the helmsmanship of Barrister Isaac Omodewu, has described the removal of the three party’s chieftains, Biliaminu Abiodun Omotosho, Peter Oladitan, and Abideen Olayode, as unconstitutional and ordered immediate reinstatement of the trio as the party’s executives.
RE: REMOVAL OF THREE PARTY OFFICERS IN IBADAN NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Reference to the meeting of Ibadan North Leadership/Stakeholders meeting held on Thursday, 19th October, 2023 at the State Office.
A letter was written to you on the 31st October, 2023 where you were given seven- day ultimatum to effect the official reinstatement of the three party officers unconstitutionally removed from office in your Local Government.
The state office received your reply dated 2nd November, 2023 where you highlighted issues not captured in a letter forwarded to you earlier.
In your end note where you state that” Nowhere in the whole world is the heads of the judges of the Lower Court are called for by the Appellate Court. Rather it’s the prayers of the appellants that are reconsidered in another direction, without asking the Lower court to do the pronouncement for them. With this allusion, the Senatorial District, acting as the appellate body in this matter, may come forward to make the pronouncement of the reversion to status quo ante, and as well address the issues mentioned in Nos 2 (a) & (b) in the letter.
The tone of expression in the statement above further confirmed the degradation of the party hierarchy.
Be it as may, I am directed by the state chairman of the party to instruct you to officially reinstate the underlisted party officers with immediate effect;
1. Biliaminu Abiodun OMOTOSHO – Ibadan North Local Government Party Secretary
2. Peter Oladitan – Ward 12 Party Chairman.
3. Abideen Olayode – Ward 3 Party Chairman
It is important for you to note that by this letter, the aforementioned party officers are hereby officially recognized by the state organ of the party and they will be henceforth invited alongside their counterparts in other local government for officia party duties.
