Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC Youth League, Oyo-State Coordinate, Bashorun Soliu Lawal Adelodun(BSL) has expressed his intention to represent Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North constituenc
This is made known through a release personally issued by Bashorun.
It reads;A record was set today as I, Lawal Soliu Adelodun declared my interest to contest as Member representing Ibarapa Central/ North constituency, in the Federal House of Representatives during the general meeting of APC held at A.D.S Basic School II, Igangan. The meeting recorded a massive turnout of people from all walks of life. In my declaration speech, I made the audience understand that it’s high time youths are braced up to take the mantle of leadership and showcase the stuff we are made of by offering our people good representation that they deserve. Also, the party faithful were made to understand that they should not despise my little beginning by looking down on me that where we he get the money to shoulder the financial implications of our electioneering process nowadays? Going down the memory lane, in 2015 an aspirant did not have the financial strength but was massively supported by the teeming party loyalists to the extent that some well-to-do loyalists carried the financial responsibility and lo and behold,he won massively. I pleaded to all the party faithfuls to embrace me as their child who is just starting and without such financial strength as demanded of any would-be contestant. The response from people was encouraging as I was jeered massively by the people.
Soliu Lawal has earlier submitted his declaration letter to his ward through his ward Chairman, Hon. Tijani Wasiu of ward 05, Oke Ola, Igangan in Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency.
Party leaders in attendance were Hon. Francis Adetunji Omolewu, Party Chairman Ibarapa North, Hon Ogungbenro Micheal APC leader Igangan, Hon. Lukmon Amubieya, Youth leader Ibarapa North, Baba Ademola Sangotikun, Mr Ayegboyin S.O among several others.
