Members of Adanla family, Chieftains and Members of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Members of Bodija Muslims Community, and other concerned people across the state have, today July 3, organized a Fidau prayer in honour of the late Ward 10 party Chairman, Honourable Abdul-Kabir Kehinde Adanla, at Bodija Central Mosque, Housing Area, Ibadan North Local Government, in Ibadan.

While delivering sermon at the event, Alhaji Muhammad Qoseem emphasised the omnipotence and benevolence of Almighty God over his creatures.”May Allah take care of the widow and the entire bereaved family; And may He bless the soul of the deceased”, he prayed.

“If you ask any human either old or young, does he or she  wish to die? His or her response would be No. Who will not die? Nobody. All of us will die.

Alh. Qoseem recalled.”During the reign of  Imam Maleek, he had a dream where he was discussing with Asarail (Angel of Death). He asked him when was he going to die?. The angel responded by scattering his fingers which he did not understand. Imam Maleek consulted those that have knowledge about dream and they told him that only God knows the day of judgement.

“The rain that is set to fall is from Allah; even a foetus in the womb of pregnant woman, only God knows the exact time of the day that she will deliver it. Even the Doctors can only predict the day but they can not predict the exact time of the day; only God knows the work that someone will do that would make him or her succeed in life; only God knows where one will breathe last breath. That means only God knows when someone will come and leave this world.

Alh. Qoseem charged the congregants to fear Allah.”Is the fear of God in your heart”, he asked.

Qoseem Continued,”In the earliest time, there was a town that any king that emerged had a fixed term of office. Whenever their tenure expired they would ask them to flee to forest of no return, which would bring sadness to their end. During the reign of one king, he convened a meeting with elders and ask them about what his predecessors encountered in the forest. They told him that they met reptiles such as scorpions, snakes and other dangerous animals. He cleared the bush and began to develop it to the level of estate. When his tenure expired, his people began to push him to the forest and he uttered ‘Alhamdulillahi’ (praise be to Allah). His people asked him that why he is feeling happy? He told them that he had developed the forest to the level of estate. They were all amazed. That is how we should all be developing where we would be buried”, he sermonised.

While observing closing prayer, the Chief Imam of Bodija Estate and Environ Muslim Community Central Mosque, Alhaji Abdul Hakeem Afuye prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul in Al-Janat Firdaus.”May Almighty Allah grant good health, protection and guidance to the widow, family of the deceased, attendees, political office holders and Muslim ummah. He also prayed for Nigeria at large.
