PHOTOS: APC Commissions 4 Projects, Marks Late Rep, Prince Akinremi Jagaban’s Posthumous Birthday

Ibadan North Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and followers of the Honourable Member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, across the state trooped out to witness the commissioning of various projects facilitated by the late federal lawmaker on Tuesday, 1 October, across the four wards that requested the projects.

The event took a laudable shape when community and market leaders in the designated areas came out enmasse to receive the party leaders and PAJ Legacy Team that came for the commissioning and handover of the projects.

In his remarks, the chairman, Alamuyo Community, Alh. Olaiya Ibiyemi, appreciated the PAJ Legacy Team for their wonderful efforts in ensuring that late Akinremi facilitated the project.”God gave us more than what we requested through Akinremi since we requested cable and he delivered an electric transformer. May his soul rest in peace,” he prayed.

Unanimously, the apex leaders of the party, in attendance, congratulated the residents of the communities that benefitted from the projects. Some communities have not benefitted from these kinds of projects. With what we are doing today, God will pat him on the back. If he didn’t do well, his followers would have been divided.”

“By His Grace, all of us will not abandon his legacy. Almighty God will reward him for what he has done, and we humbly encourage the people of these communities that they should support the party candidate whenever we present a candidate for the upcoming bye-election in the constituency.

The elder brother of the late legislator, Mr. Abiodun Akinremi, popularly known as Big Daddy, noted that,”It saddened our hearts that he had written the proposals for the construction of Agbaje Community Road, but his death disproved the plan. I financed the Awoleye campaign, not knowing that my brother would succeed him. He succeeded and outperformed him, and that made the vacant position a hot seat. He helped his colleagues and facilitated projects from them. After death, some politicians’ teams ceased to exist, but the PAJ Legacy Team has shown they’re well on the ground and waxing stronger, and I commend them for their initiatives and programmes, God will not leave them and members of the party to their affairs.

In related development, immediately after the commissioning of two solar boreholes and two electric transformers, the PAJ legacy team organised a party for members of the party and non-politicians after the commissioning programme, in honour of the memory of the late rep and celebration of his posthumous birthday at Prince Akinremi Hall, Samonda.

In attendance were Alh. Akeem Adebiyi, Alh. Akibu Animashaun, Alh. Kayode Adanla, Mrs. Victoria Akerele, Leader Fatoyinbo, Leader Tosin Ayoade, Barrister Kola Majaro (APC Legal Adviser, South West), Barr. Lowo Obisesan (ably represented by Alh. Confidence), Alh. Taofeek Olayiwola, and community and market leaders across the four wards, among several others.
