The highly reputable Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello(Oniwasi Agbaye) has, yesterday, admonished Muslim faithful to be genuinely pious and brotherly, towards each other and humanity, in general.
While delivering his lecture, Sheikh Bello charged Yorubas to love each other and put an end to needles enmity among themselves, as tribesmen. He issued stern warning to Yorubas who are fond of destroying each other.”Stop destroying yourselves. Foster unity among each other as tribesmen and cooperate with other members of ethnic groups in Nigeria.
These calls were made at the “Third Abiola Ajimobi Memorial Ramadan Lecture”, which was held at the late Governor’s Islamic Centre, “Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Central Mosque”, Oke Ado in Ibadan.
The lecture, which mainly dwelled on piety, love, brotherliness and virtues, also addressed other contemporary issues in Nigeria.
In his welcome address, a confidant of the late governor and the planning committee Chairman of the program, Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade thanked the invited guests and lauded everybody that has been standing with late Governor Ajimobi’s family since the demise of the late governor.
Early, Sheikh Bello had extolled late Gov. Ajimobi’s virtues and prayed for the repose of the former pacesetter state helmsman’s soul in Al-Janat Firdaus.
Bello encouraged people to be good for the sake of themselves as each person will give accounts of his deeds on the day of judgement.”As Muslims, you must be righteous, and you must submit yourselves to the will of Allah.
