An influential grassroots mobiliser, Honourable Kabir Popoola(KB Baba) has, today, picked expression of interest and nomination forms to contest as the Chairman, Ido Local Government, on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), in the forthcoming local government elections in Oyo-State.
The illustrious son of Ibadan from Akufo, Yiosa Vilage in Ido Local Government, Hon. Popoola thanked his party leaders, supporters and the entire indigenes for their massive supports. He assured his local government of quality leadership and good governance.
Popoola, a successful Alumnus of Olabisi Onabanjo University(OOU), Ago-Iwoye, in Ogun-State, said that,“I have obtained the expression of interest and nomination forms of our great party, PDP, to contest as the Chairman of Ido Local Government. So, help me God.
My Leaders, Patrons, Supporters and others, Sirs and Mas! Thanks for your love and patronship. By His Grace, I promise never to let you down, and once again, I really appreciate your massive supports. Let’s go there, my people, and Oyo LG Election shall obey, with your full supports, and mercy of God Almighty.
Kabir Popoola also known as “KB Baba” is a business tycoon based in Apete. Politically, he is from Ward Four(04) of Ido Local Government Area of the state.
As a full blooded Ibadan descendant, KB’s family compound is Alekuso Ile Oloyin Beere, Ibadan and he has been greatly contributing to the progress of Ibadan Land, especially, Ido LGA.
Hon. Popoola has previously worked with many governors of the state, which includes Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala and Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Currently, Popoola is a committed lieutenant of 2023 PDP Oyo South Senatorial Standbearer, Engr Joseph Tegbe(Tegbe man) in Ido Local Government, and a staunch supporter of the Executive Governor of Oyo-State, Engr Seyi Makinde.
This Newspaper recalled that Chairman, Oyo-State Independent Electoral Commission(OYSCIEC), Aare Islakia Abiola Olagunju has earlier announced plans of his Commission to conduct local government elections in thirty-three(33) Local Government Councils of the state, on April 27, 2023.
