A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Saheed Adeyemi Oladele (SAO), has organised 3rd annual Ramadan lecture today at the Motor Park of Ayete, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, drawing a prominent array of dignitaries, including the former Chairman of Ibarapa Central, Alhaji Ibraheem Habeeb; former Commissioner for Special Duties in Oyo State, Alhaji Fatai Salau; representative of the former Chairman of Ibarapa North, Hon. Biyi Okediran; APC local and ward executives; former council secretaries; party leaders; among others.

In his opening remarks, Engr. Saheed Oladele (SAO), the organiser and chief host of the programme, expressed gratitude to God Almighty for making the programme a success. He commended the invited guests, the chief lecturer, party members, foundation members, invited Alfas, and well-wishers for their love, dedication, and passion in making the programme a reality.

“I thank God Almighty for making today a reality. The topic for today focuses on the current happenings in our dear nation. This topic suits this moment because, factually, everyone is complaining. It’s my belief that everything will be a thing of the past. As we continue to fast, we shall remember our community, state, and nation at large in prayer. I also encourage us to pray for our president, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for God’s guidance in his decision-making process. I appreciate you all for gracing this occasion.”

Also speaking at the programme, Alhaji Fatai  Salau Adeshina, former Oyo State Commissioner for Special Duties, commended the organiser of the programme for his laudable initiatives. He equally urged everyone to listen attentively to the guest speaker, whom he described as an embodiment of knowledge. Alhaji Fatai further appreciated party leaders, members, and dignitaries that graced the occasion.

The prominent guest speaker, Alh. Ismael Omotayo Apo from Iwo Osun State, presented an enlightening discourse on “How to Rely on God in Hardship and Ease.” Alhaji Ismaheel emphasised the need to rely on God in all aspects of our lives. He discussed things that can drastically solve Nigeria’s problem, including remembrance of Allah, fear of God, thanksgiving, seeking the mercy of Allah, and stating that the fear of Allah is a function of the mind. He further highlighted the qualities that portray someone who relies on God, such as absence of pride, absence of selfishness, modesty, good character, truthfulness, humility, and strong determination.

Alhaji Ismaheel further emphasised some prerequisites to entering paradise. “You must be a cheerful giver, a pure preacher, a fasting person, constantly praying at night, and a man or woman with modesty and good character,” he said.

He concluded his lecture by urging every Muslim faithful to use the month of Ramadan to pray for our leaders in the country, most importantly the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for guidance in policy formulation and implementation.

Engr. Saheed Oladele also distributed food items and money to over 500 residents of Ibarapa North and Central at the same venue.
