PHOTOS: FCES Oyo Holds Seminar, Focuses on Professional Development, Better Service Delivery
The School of General Studies Education at the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo has yesterday, June 3rd, organized a seminar that will be remembered for a long time.
Dr. B.A. Adebiyi, the college deputy provost, declared the seminar open.
Dr. (Mrs.) T.A.O. Oladimeji, the dean of the School, while welcoming the participants praised their commitment to updating their pedagogical skills. She noted that their dedication to attending the seminar despite the challenges was a testament to their passion for excellence.
Despite the ongoing industrial action, a large number of participants attended the event, which was commended by the dean.
The seminar’s theme, “Balancing Lecture Room Challenges with Professional Duties in General Studies Education,” was expertly handled by Dr. S.A. Atolagbe. The event provided a platform for lecturers to engage in heartfelt discussions, identify challenges, and propose solutions.
Dr. (Mrs.) O.F. Fatiloro, the sub-dean of the School, delivered the closing remarks, encouraging participants to be more responsive to their responsibilities. The seminar’s highlight was the consensus reached by the attendees to discourage the abuse of “academic freedom” and promote better service delivery.
