Photos: FOSSU Honours Int’l Scholar, Dr Moshood Abioye, Partners with Ibadan-born Philanthropist 

In recognition of his significant contributions to the youth and student community and the progress of Oyo-State at large, the executive team of the Federation of Oyo State Students Union, Lagos State Chapter (FOSSU Lagos), led by Aare Alagbe Micheal Adebayo (Mighty), has, on April 10, conferred a meritorious award on Amb. (Dr.) Moshood Ismail Abioye, CEO of the Moshood Ajadi Foundation, at his residence in Mowo Badagry, Lagos State.

The award was presented in the presence of Elder Sangoranti, chairman of Golden Estate, an Oyo state indigene from Awe.


Dr. Abioye dedicated the award to God Almighty for the grace bestowed on him, to his parents, to Hon. Olojede Victor, Senior Special Assistant (SSA), to Gov. Makinde, and to the Governor Himself, Engr. Seyi Makinde, whom he said gave room for youth involvement in his government, which he maintained has given room for connectivity and rapid development.

In a remarkable display of gratitude and collaboration, the FOSSU Lagos executives conveyed their profound appreciation to Dr. Moshood Ismail for his unwavering generosity and dedication to the union’s cause, during the visit. They proposed a partnership with Dr. Moshood to achieve mutual objectives aimed at enhancing recognition and fostering a stronger relationship within the union.

Key proposals included the establishment of an indigent program to support students in their educational pursuits, an empowerment program, medical checkups, and a Yoruba debate competition leading to scholarship opportunities for deserving students. Dr. Moshood expressed his commitment to providing job opportunities for union graduates within his organisation and other government agencies.

In a display of solidarity, Dr. Moshood pledged his support and sponsorship for the upcoming FOSSU Lagos Tour, as well as any other capacity in which he could assist the union and its members. 

The meeting, attended by FOSSU Lagos officials, members of Dr. Moshood’s team, and community stakeholders, proved to be highly productive, underscoring the potential for meaningful collaboration between unions and community leaders.
