Concerned Stalwarts and Frontline Strategic Communicators, within the fold of the All Progressives Congress(APC), have held a get together party, yesterday, to felicitate with the former Aide to late Governor Ajimobi, Hon. ‘Funlola Adesina, Influential Youth Mobilizer, Comrade Kunle Adesiyan and other members of the platform who celebrated their birthdays recently.

The gathering, which was held at the Recreational Club(REC), Ibadan, was used to examine contemporary issues within the the party.

The Convener of the meeting and Seasoned Communicator, Aare Saheed Olayiwola Lekan-Raji, while giving his opening remarks commended all concerned stalwarts and media warriors of the party. He, also, saluted party’s leadership, across all tendencies for achieving amicable resolution of the lingering crises rocking the party, over congress issues.

“Firstly, I’m happy to welcome us all here today, to celebrate our people on their birthdays, especially, Hon. ‘Funlola Adesina, Comrade Kunle Adesiyan and others. Happy birthdays to you all, long life and prosperity,’igba odun, odun kan nin Ooo'”, he greeted.

“The core agenda of this meeting are to fraternise with each other and also, to basically examine contemporary issues in our party, and as well to chart way forwards on the burning issues, as a united and formidable Oyo APC, irrespective of our tendencies or leanings”, Aare Olayiwola explained.

“On behalf of myself, entire leadership of Oyo APC, concerned stalwarts, media warriors and all of us in the struggles, I salute the courage of everyone of us and also, I commend our respective efforts. We shall not labour in vain. Let’s remain tenacious and committed, victory is ours come 2023”, Olayiwola lauded.

The gathering was also use to reflect over the crises ensued on the heels of the last state congress. The concerned stalwarts, at the meeting, commended all the leaders and gladiators, along all the tendencies for being ready to sheath their swords, prepare consensus list of Oyo State APC executives and work together as one, united and invincible Oyo APC. The group described this amicable resolution as the only way to record landslide victory, come 2023 and they hailed all party’s bigwigs for their sacrifices on the way forwards.

The release made available to the pressmen, after the meeting, by the Convener, Aare Saheed Olayiwola, reads in parts;”Today, concerned individuals within Oyo APC met to felicitate with our members celebrating their birthdays and to discuss our challenges, and prospects, with unity of purpose.

“Issues centred around the congress of our party, aspiration of our colleagues, and loyalty to gladiators, within our party were, as well, discussed.

“Series of pieces of advice and suggestions were raised on the need for synergies, on review of congress slots by the leaders.

“Series of pieces of advice were given as regard to subsequent aspirations of our colleagues.

“Appeal was made to the people who are close to party’s gladiators and stakeholders to serve as bridge builders and peace ambassadors. We can only rise by lifting one another”, Aare Saheed Olayiwola Raji reiterated.

Among the people present at the meeting were the Agrotect Expert and Chief Host of the meeting, from Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Hon. Adebayo Adams, Influential Grassroots Mobiliser, Adedayo Elugbaju Dángótè, Financial Pundit, Saburi Abiola Yusuf, Contacts and Communications Executive, Alonge Babs, Seasoned Communicator, Raji Ademola Draj and Former Vice President of the National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Alli Egbesola.

Also, in attendance were Hammed Olabisi, Adefolayan Adekanye, Amos Kehinde Fourthman, Adedeji Mufeed Muvdoor, Haliu Jubril, Sadudeen Adepoju Alaska, Mudashir Adekola Asiwaju, Adepoju Omoniyi Rector, Alabi Ibrahim Otunba, among several others.
