Rasheed “Ajulo” Empowers Teachers, Donates Bus to NUT in Kajola LG.
A front line House of Representatives Hopeful, from Iseyin/Kajola/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Honourable Wahab Abdul Rasheed Ajulo has donated 18 Seater Toyota Bus to Nigerian Union of Teachers(NUT), Kajola Local Government Area, Okeho, Oyo State.
The presentation of of the vehicle to the NUT leadership was anchored by former Chairman, Kajola Local Government, Hon.(Dr). Sunday Folorunsho Ogungbenro.
“We greet our fathers and leaders here present. May you live long, sirs and mas. Firstly, I want to thank us all that we’re able to make it down to this place despite the short notification. Teachers are great! No Controversy! May ALLAH (SWT) bless the donor and us all”, Hon. Ogungbenro said.
The donation process was led by the influential Chieftain of APC, Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi Adejare.
In his speech, Alh Abu Gbadamosi stated that,”I greet all the party leaders and NUT executives here present. I greet the donor, Hon Ajulo, as well. This is first of its kind and I want to charge us all to reciprocate this gesture of Hon. Ajulo . Once again, I commend Ajulo and safe drive to the NUT leadership.
The NUT Chairman, Comrade Aileru Onaolapo commended the donor, Hon Wahab Rasheed Olaniyi Ajulo for the kind gesture extended to them. In his words,'”Great teachers, great NUT. Great NUT, great teachers. We are great, no controversy. We than God Almighty that makes today’s programme a reality. On behalf entire NUT Executives, I great all eminent personalities, starting from Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi aka ‘Olododo’ and everybody here present. Baba Abu Gbadamosi is our leader in all ramifications. Baba started as classroom teacher and later became TESCOM chairman”, he extolled.
“I greet all eminent leaders on seat and I thank our benefactor, Hon. Wahab Rasheed a.k.a Ajulo. He is a good man and he has done a lot of good works without even publicising it. Left to him, he didn’t want to publicise this but LOC advised him to give the donation a touch of formality. You’re a good man and please, continue to be you. God has seen your good mind and He will continue to reward you, abundantly .
“Please, sirs and mas, permit me to make a clarification. Nigerian Union of Teachers(NUT) is apolitical. We don’t belong to any political party and we don’t intend to belong to anyone, because we’re ‘pressure group’ fighting for the rights of our members. Any government that pays our salary regularly and treats us well is our friend but any government that does otherwise will see the red side of our eyes. In every house, we have kids that teachers are mandated to mould so let’s treat teachers well,we are nation’s builders.
“We are like a densely fruitful tree that brings out different categories of fruits. So, please, let’s treat teachers well and take care of them. As valuable as teachers, it is not everybody that recognises this and that’s why I want to once again laud Hon. Ajulo for recognizing teachers’ efforts and for supporting our association. Thank you, sir. Great teachers! Great NUT!”, he stated.
Vote of thanks and special prayer were conducted by Hon. Adam Busari(Awelenje).
NUT General Secretary, Comrade Ismail Rafiu, who conducted introduction of NUT excos, also gave short remarks.
Also in attendance were Alh Lamidi Amuda, Hon Isiaka lekan Salami(Ladubu), Chief Sobaloju of Ilero land, Otunba gbenga Awosoro, Alh Fasasi, Hon Akeem Ijoba, Mr Samson Ojenike, Kajola NUT Executives, APC local chairman in Kajola Local Government, all ward “IWA” party chairmen and other well wishers.
