PHOTOS: Ibadan City Academy Class of 2000 ‘Millennium Set’ Donates Furniture to Alma Mater

The old students association of Ibadan City Academy, Eleta, Ibadan, Class of ’2000, has donated classroom furniture to the management of the school at a ceremony held recently in Ibadan, Oyo State, during the 25th year post-secondary anniversary.

The ICA graduating class of 2000, the ‘Millennium set’, made a donation of 32 pieces of three-seater reading chairs and desks at a ceremony witnessed by teachers and students of the school and the national body ICAOSA.
The Chairperson of ICAOSA ’2000, Alhaja Shakirat Adekojo, appreciated members of ICAOSA 2000 for their contributions towards the success of the project.

“As a mark of this 25-year milestone, ICA MILLENNIUM SET is proud to donate 32 sets of classroom desks and benches to the four schools of Ibadan City Academy (ICA). This project is not just furniture; it is an investment in learning, a symbol of our gratitude, and a seed for the future of the students who will sit on them. May these desks and benches inspire excellence, discipline, and progress for many years to come,” she stated.

Adekojo urged the students to imbibe a maintenance culture so that school facilities last long before needing repair or replacement.
While reacting to the laudable project, the President General of ICAOSA, Mr Babatunde Akintunde, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Class of 2000 set for their generous donation of furniture to their alma mater. “This thoughtful gesture will greatly benefit our school community,” he enthused.
“Thank you for your commitment to giving back and supporting the next generation. Your contribution will have a lasting impact,” Akintunde submitted.
The Principal of the school, Mr Adekunle Okunade, who expressed his happiness at the presentation, thanked all members of the association and prayed for them for remembering their alma mater.
The planning committee chairman, Comrade Adegoke Oladiipo, also extended heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of their 25th anniversary celebration and commissioning project.
“Your support, time, and effort made this milestone event unforgettable. We’re grateful for your commitment to our alma mater’s growth and legacy,” Oladiipo lauded.
The day will be remembered for the fun and reminiscence of the past. The event included a health talk, a free eye test, the presentation of awards and a lot more.
