As APC, Basteen Campaign Trail Passes Through Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 • Electorate Pledge overwhelming Support for Chairmanship Standard bearers, Others
It was an inspiring moment and a wonderful progressive atmosphere as the good people of Ibadan Northwest warmly received the campaign team of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming local government election slated to take place on April 27, 2024.
The leaders and faithful members of the APC Ibadan Northwest Chapter came out enmass to openly campaign for chairmanship standardbearer, Honourable Babatunde Teslim Jimoh popularly known as Basteen, Vice Chairmanship Flagbearer, Mrs Adeyemi Wumi, and the 11 councillorship candidates representing each ward respectfully from Ward 1 to 11.
The campaign trail stopped at the famous Ibikunle Palace at Ayeye, where market women, traders, and residents were approached, and the in-coming chairman highlighted his campaign manifesto, which is centred on the development of grassroots.
Basteen assured the good people of Ibadan Northwest of the open and accountable smooth running of the council by making sure that the security of lives and properties is guaranteed under his watch as Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northwest, if the mandate is given.
Basteen emphasised quality health, proper sanitation of the environment, soft loans for market women, and youth empowerment. Having identified the huge resources domiciled in the local government area, he vowed that within his 100 days as elected officer in the council, Ibadan Northwest will take on a new look in terms of infrastructural development.
Basteen appreciated the leadership of the party and all party members for their continuous support, while the councillorship candidates and vice chairmanship flag bearer thanked the good people of Ibadan Northwest for coming out to show them overwhelming support, and they all pledged to work for the development and progress of Ibadan Northwest by putting the local government on high standards to become the pacesetter local council, amongst others.
All party leaders attended the historic event, and the campaign continues tomorrow. It is expected that the campaign trail will hit Queen Cinema, Eleyele, and other strategic places tomorrow, Tuesday.
