PHOTOS: Jubilation As Lucky Emonefe Emerges As NANS President

Comrade Lucky Emonefe has been elected as the new president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). The announcement came following a highly anticipated and well-attended elective convention of the association held yesterday in Abuja.

In a landmark development that engendered the actualisation of “LUCKY EMONEFE 4 NANS PRESIDENCY 2023,” the convention saw a wave of enthusiasm as the revolutionary fighter secured the support of the student body. Expressing gratitude, Emonefe extended “combatant greetings to the 80 million and 1 Nigerian Students,” emphasising unity and solidarity.

“The NANS CONVENTION 2023 is successful. Thanks to you for your comradeship, solidarity, and statesmanship! We consulted, canvassed, campaigned, and converged; now we have achieved victory, and we shall consolidate!” proclaimed the newly elected president.

Acknowledging the collaborative efforts that led to his victory, Emonefe gave special recognition to senators, the CPC (Convention Planning Committee), the LOC (Local Organising Committee), coordinators, stakeholders, and, most significantly, the Nigerian students, who played a pivotal role in the success of this year’s convention.

In his address, Emonefe assured senators who placed their trust in him, pledging to work within the provisions of the NANS Constitution. “We shall protect the Constitution with every resource available within our reach and beyond,” he affirmed.

The euphoria surrounding Emonefe’s election echoed throughout the convention venue, marking a momentous occasion for NANS and signalling what many hope will be a positive and impactful tenure under the leadership of President Lucky Emonefe. “Congratulations to all those who supported us, Team Lucky, in this historic electoral triumph. Thank you all”, Emonefe stated.
