PHOTOS: Oyo Traders Honour Prince Adeyemi As Grand Patron, Describe Lawmaker As ‘Hero, Son of Legend’ • Skimeh Pays Tribute to Mama Broda

Hon. Prince Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi, Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Agric Colleges and Institutions, has been honoured with the prestigious Grand Patron award by the Oyo Gbemi Men and Women Traders Association.

The association, which comprises various artisans’ groups, recognized Hon. Adeyemi’s outstanding stewardship and contributions to the community, describing his performances as “unparalleled, extraordinary, and unprecedented.”

The President of the association, Alh Sulaiman Sarafadeen, and its Spokesperson, Alh S A Agboluaje, praised Hon. Adeyemi’s dedication to serving the people, attributing his success to the inspiration he drew from his late father, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, III, the Alaafin of Oyo.

Hon. Adeyemi expressed his gratitude for the award, promising to continue his result-oriented actions and incredible performance.

Later that day, Hon. Adeyemi attended a Service of Songs program for Late Deaconess Rachel Olajire Ogungbenro, popularly known as “Mama Broda” of Broda Chemist Oyo, where he paid tribute to her selfless life and service to humanity.

In his tribute, Hon. Adeyemi described Mama Broda as a mother to him, blessed with a heart of gold and compassion personified. He prayed for her eternal rest in paradise and for her children to have the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The event was a testament to Hon. Adeyemi’s commitment to serving the people and honouring those who have made a positive impact in the community.
