PHOTOS: Power Minister, Chief ‘Bayo Adelabu, Pays Visit to Olubadan-Designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja

The Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, on Monday paid a royal courtesy visit to the Olubadan-designate, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his residence in Ibadan.

The visit, which was held in an atmosphere of deep cultural reverence, father-son camaraderie and mutual respect, was part of Chief Adelabu’s ongoing engagements with traditional institutions as key stakeholders in national development.

While congratulating Oba Ladoja on his forthcoming ascension to the throne, Chief Adelabu described the Olubadan-designate as a revered statesman, an accomplished leader, and a symbol of wisdom and unity. He noted that the traditional institution plays a critical role in ensuring peace, community development, and grassroots mobilisation.

“As a son of Ibadan, it is both a duty and an honour to come and pay homage to our soon-to-be Olubadan. Kabiyesi remains a unifying figure and a custodian of our cherished values,” Adelabu stated.

In his remarks, Oba Ladoja expressed appreciation for the minister’s visit and prayed for his success in steering Nigeria’s power sector toward greater efficiency and accessibility.

The visit further strengthens the cordial relationship between political leadership and traditional authorities, reaffirming the role of cultural heritage in nation-building.
