In a significant move to empower young people in Oyo State, Oloye Titilope Gbadamosi, the Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Delivery and Monitoring of Youth Initiatives, has led a working visit to the Oyo State Youth Development Agency, yesterday in Ibadan.

The visit aimed to initiate discussions on a comprehensive Needs Assessment survey for youth and share information about ongoing Youth Initiatives and activities.

The team was warmly received by the Agency’s Chairman, Prince Adebowale Adebayo; Executive Secretary, Mrs. Olayinka Muraino; and the state assembly’s Chairman House Committee on Youth Development, Hon. Yusuf Adebisi.

Oloye Gbadamosi listed the different youth-oriented programmes of the President Tinubu-led administration and charged the youth to make use of the opportunities, especially in the technology sector.

Gbadamosi lauded the impressive number of young individuals serving in the Oyo State government, a testament to Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to youth inclusion in governance.

The presidential aide praised Governor Makinde’s leadership style, saying it aligns with President Tinubu’s vision for youth inclusion, accelerating both youth-related and youth-led initiatives. She emphasised the importance of collaboration between State Youth Development Agencies, State Ministries of Youth Development, and the Federal Government to catalyse Youth Development in Nigeria.

Among the notable figures at the meeting were Hon. Victor Olojede, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Student Affairs; Hon. Michael Ogunsina, PDP Youth Leader and Acting PRO; Abdul Salam Quadri, representing Oyo State NYCN; Hon. Seun Fatoki, APC Deputy Youth Leader; and Hon. Banji Banji, Hon. Adewale Aponmode, Hon. Folarin Martins, Hon. Akintunde Adeyemo (Socrates), and other distinguished guests.
