PHOTOS: Prince Akeem Adeyemi Sponsors Math Competition, Attends Other Pro-People Progs

In a demonstration of his commitment to community engagement and representation, Prince Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi, Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Agricultural Colleges and Institutions, attended several pro-people programme over weekend.

On Saturday, October 26, Adeyemi began his day with a live radio appearance on Lagelu FM’s “Bosenlo” programme, hosted by Tayo Oyeladun. He later joined Mayor Isaac Brown on Fresh FM’s “Political Circuit” to discuss his stewardship and the proposed creation of the New Oyo State.

Adeyemi also sponsored the Annual Oba Adeyemi Mathematics and Essay Competitions, which drew participants from 41 secondary schools across the Oyo Federal Constituency. The event, organised by The National Associations of Oyo Students (NAOS), saw Aleem Aishat from Fiditi Grammar School emerge as the winner of the mathematics competition, earning her a full university scholarship.

In addition to awarding cash prizes and souvenirs to winners and participating schools, Adeyemi announced plans to support education initiatives in the constituency.

On Sunday, October 27, Adeyemi met with representatives of the four local governments of Oyo, including Iyalojas and Babalojas, chaired by Alhaja Peju Bakare, the Iyaloja-General of Oyo. He later attended a Thanksgiving Service at the First Baptist Church in Awe, where prayers were offered for the late Oba Adeyemi III.

“Connecting with the people is crucial for effective representation,” Adeyemi emphasised.

“I remain committed to serving my constituency and promoting development in Oyo State.” He stated.
