The Progressive Minds, Oyo State, the gathering of politicians committed to the people-oriented principles and values of progressive politics in Oyo State has encouraged politicians of the progressive stock in the state to continue in the principles and the practices that endeared the party to the good people of Oyo State, giving the party the political leadership of the state at multiple election cycles and earning the state a pride of place among the progressive states in Nigeria.
Barr Lowo Obisesan, one of the progressive minds leaders, while addressing members at the Tuesday, July 25, 2023 general meeting, noted that unity of purpose, commitment to the party and the delivery of notable developments for the benefit of the people and the state, rather than a clamouring for greedy personal gain, has been the foundation of the party from the beginning, qualities which had been fundamental to the success of the party in the state and must continue to be cherished and practiced going forward.
In similar fashion, other leaders and elders of the group, including Sheik Tajudeen Olujide, Alh Tajudeen Ahmed (Baba Loja), Alh Rasheed Jimoh Lelekuele, and others, variously urged the progressive family in Oyo State to come together and make available a formidable platform to embody the yearnings and aspirations of the good people of Oyo State, as this has been the culture of the party.

Also, in attendance were Com Tunde Ibrahim, Hon Busari Sulaiman (Prof), Alh Lawal Binladin, Alh Dan Alhassan, Pa Rasaq Laipo and others.
The general meeting of The Progressive Minds, Oyo State, which saw a massive turn-out, had members in attendance representing local governments across all the zones of the state, will reconvene by 12:00 noon on Tuesday August 29, 2023 at Black and White Chambers premises, Oke-Ado, Ibadan. All Oyo State politicians of progressive persuasion are cordially invited.
