Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has celebrated the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 71st birthday and electoral victory, in prayerful ways.

Akanbi, who joined teeming Muslim women at Islamic Theological Centre, Oluyole, Ibadan, Oyo-State, thanked the womenfolk for their unflinching support and unalloyed love for Asiwaju Tinubu.

The spokesperson of the Muslim fold, drawn from different groups and associations in the state, Dr Zarat Uthman hailed Akanbi for being a responsible leader and pious Muslim who has served, and who is still serving people, meritoriously.

While extolling virtues of the former Lagos state governor, Dr Uthman described Asiwaju Tinubu as a blessed helmsman and charismatic leader that deserves celebration, at all times.

“Indeed, we celebrate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a blessed helmsman and charismatic leader that deserves celebration at all times. He’s responsible and responsive. He’s tested and trusted. Firstly, we, joyfully, celebrate him over his well deserved victory at the presidential polls and secondly, we heartily, rejoice with him at 71. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu! Happy Birthday,Sir, Long Life and Prosperity.

The forum expressed their displeasure over disunity among Muslim politicians in the state.”You, our fathers, husband and sons in politics, we want to appeal to all of you. Please, forgive yourselves and collectively forge ahead. We want to say it unanimously, Muslim politicians and political leaders must forgive one and others, in other, to be jointly, victorious. The people united can never be defeated and united we stand and divided we fall.

Sen. Akanbi while reacting lauded the Muslim women over their immense supports and tremendous efforts geared towards Asiwaju Tinubu’s electoral victory.

Akanbi reminisced his relationship with Muslim bodies, in the state and vowed to remain committed to the cause of Islam and humanity, in general, because the faith emphasized “Hadlu”(equity) among all members of human race.

Akanbi reiterated it that Tinubu’s victory belongs to them and everybody that contributed towards the electoral triumph.

The Director Islamic Theological Centre, Alhaji Uthman Abdul Rasak gave brief accounts of the forum’s contributions and he wished president-elect successful tenure

Among the invited clerics at the prayer session were Sheiks Alamu Meji, Imam Tijani, Ustadz Muhammad Soliu Adelakun and others.

On Sen. Akanbi’s entourage were Alhaji Yusuf Araromi, Hon. Kolawole Olaifa, Hon. Yakub Alade, Hon. Tunde Tolase, Hon. Femi Adetunbi, Hon. Quadri Adeyemi, Hon. Dotun Olorundero, Hon. Afeez Adepoju, Hon. Pius Nasamu, Hon. Bashiru Babalola, Hon. Olumuyiwa Onafowora, Comrade Monsuru Adeyemo and others.
