PHOTOS: Tinubu-Ojo, Ganiyu Akeem, Others in Attendance As TLF Appoints Aare Akinola Makanjuola As Group’s Grand Patron
Tinubu legacy Forum(TLF), on Sunday, September 22, officially decorated Alhaji Dawud Akinola Makanjuola, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, as the group’s National Grand Patron.
Presentation of letter of appointment was led by Chief(Dr.) Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja General of Nigeria/Tinubu legacy Forum Board of Trustees, BoT, Secretary, at Aare Makanjuola’s residence at Agodi G.R.A, Ibadan.
The BoT chairman of the Forum Amb. (Alh.) Ganiyu Akeem Adesina who led the team in his address maintained that the appointment was in recognition of Aare Commitment to human welfarism without ethnicity and religious affliation especially the less privileged, as well as his unalloyed efforts towards President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR’s victory at the last general election, particularly, across the southwest states.
Adeshina lauded Makanjuola’s support for the forum and seeking for his continuous support and commitment mostly at this point of his appointment as the group’s grand patron.”May Almighty God increase Your Eminence’s wealth and experiences to lead the forum to the promised land in achieving its aims and objectives.
Adeshina further lauded the unrelenting efforts of Iyaloja General in sustainability of his father legacy at all times and her patronship for Tinubu legacy Forum. He also appreciate the doggedness, resilience, perseverance and sacrifice of the forum stakeholders in strengthening the forum’s root for progression.”May we not all labour in vain.” Adeshina prayed.
Iyaloja General in her statement commended the philantropic activities of Chief Mokanjuola Dawud who has always been a silent philantropist and a replica of virtue. She recalled her first encounter with Aare which was in Saudi Arabia many years ago during her second Umrah trips and Aare encouraged her to sponsor others to the holy land while he told Aare she was not receiving sponsorship from the government; but noting that the Aare wise counsel impacted her life positively to start sponsoring many people to Umrah and Hajj yearly ever since then.
Tinubu-Ojo assured that her father’s government is committed to the ‘RENEWED HOPE AGENDA’ through implementation of long time measures targeted at alleviating hardship and poverty in Nigeria. She highlighted that the situation of Lagos state was like this during her father’s first tenure as the Lagos state Governor between 1999 to 2001, while Lagosians later enjoined the government and called for his second terms, recalled that Tinubu was the only governor reelected in the southwest state then.
Aare Mokanjuola in his acceptance speech, lauded the simplicity and resilience of President’s daughter, Tinubu-Ojo which he maintained that she is replica of her late grandmother, Chief Habeebat Mogagi.
Makanjuola appreciated the forum for the honour, pray for their progress and pledged his continuous support at all times as the Grand Patron. Aare prayed for success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, hinting that Tinubu is the most criticised presidential candidate in the history of Nigeria but despite that God solely took him on the seat and said he knows Almighty God will take charge of his government for the materialisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.”We shall have cause to appreciate Mr. President at the end for a better Nigeria, to enable us seek for more of his government. May he also enjoy more life after his tenure to also feel the breeze of his active transformation.
Also an aide to the Honorable Minster of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Tinubu Legacy Forum BoT member and President, Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youths, Comrade(Elder) Femi Awogboro lauded the efforts of President Tinubu in meeting the yearning of Nigerians, urging Nigerians to be more patient and to join hands with the government to take the nation to envisioned stage.
An Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Taofeek Akeugbagold in his closing prayer remarks commended the proactiveness and acumen of the BoT Chairman, Alhaji Adesina and he prayed that the grace of Almighty God will always be on the BoT Chairman and his life;
Akeugbagold affirmed the simplicity of Iyaloja General and prayed for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
