Politics : APC Diaspora Calls for Caution , Kicks Against Imposters’ Recognition in Nigeria .

APC Diaspora calls for caution as imposters` recognition becoming a trend in Nigeria.

As the leadership of the ruling political party in the most populated black nation on the globe, Nigeria, All Progressives Congress is battling to save the soul of the party, it’s diaspora arms are facing another challenging issue of imposters’ recognition back in the country, Nigeria.

In a letter addressed to two different party chairmen in the South-west, Nigeria. Ekiti and the Lagos States, the chairman, APC UK and the Chairman, Committee of Diaspora Chairmen notified his colleagues in Nigeria to be careful of whom they entertain because most of them are imposters who are neither party executives nor dues-paying members of the party.

This letter reflects that the imposters are stepping up their game by exploiting the leadership vacuum created by the dissolution of the National working committee of the party.

Dear Sir.

Re: EXCLUSIVE: Two-In-One-Day Town Hall Conference

I hope this letter meets you well.

I write in respect of the above-named programme (poster/announcement copied and posted below), which is purportedly being organised by the South West Caucus and Ekiti state branch of APC UK Chapter. It has been confirmed to me that the organisers do not have the authorisation of the chapter’s recognised leadership of Southwest zonal caucus.

The purpose of this letter, therefore, is to categorically document that none of the individuals purporting to speak for our party in the United Kingdom has the authority of the leadership to do so. I consider it necessary to take this step so that you are better guided next time. The Diaspora Chapters of our party are constitutionally recognised units of the party and have prescribed guidelines as set by the NEC of our party to moderate their operations and relationships with zonal/branches in Nigeria outside the Headquarters of our party.

Whilst the Diaspora chapters’ leadership cherish a healthy thriving relationship with our compatriots at home, we continue to ask that always, party leaders do due diligence when approached by individuals from the Diaspora to avoid any embarrassment or getting tangled in any activity that may potentially bring the party to disrepute. We also believe that this is a respectful thing to do.

For the record and the avoidance of doubt, the duly recognised Chairman of APC UK Southwest caucus is Mr Muyiwa Adesua. He has a full understanding of how our chapter operates and the complete complement of our structure.

With best wishes and prayers for your continued good health, and success in your offices.

Respectfully yours.

Signed
