POLITICS: Party Delegates Are Delegated Spoilers !! By Adeoti AA.
As a political stakeholder, l was busy on the field monitoring party primaries of Oyo APC, and my assessment goes thus:
Don’t fear delegates but fear humans, they are very delicate and dangerous.
Forget about what you do for them yesterday, if you failed to do today’s bidding, forget about antecedents that Yoruba call ‘a ti ma se bò’.
The great minds in the house, l am worried that we are not getting it right politically, especially in our party, especially with the new trend of votes commodification.
The present political system is too monetized that it will be difficult to eradicate the rising level of corruption in the country. I don’t deceive myself and won’t allow others to achieve that with me, with what is happening in the party primaries, there will be many legal tussles that will halt the winning process and smooth campaign of many candidates that emerged through a high level controversial primaries.
But everything is still politics.
May God heal our party to be able to win general elections in 2023.
