Rejigs Activities, Changes Name.
The popular socio-political group within the All Progressive Congress(APC), domiciled in Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo-State, The Rescue Team, has re- converged to revalidate its status as a strong powerhouse in the politics of the local council. The group has ,also, changed her name to “Rescue Team Plus“, to to accommodate useful inclusion and connect new frontiers, the group claimed.
The group, which recently met in Ibadan to celebrate her 10th years anniversary, appreciated God for his faithfulness in spite of the multifarious challenges faced by the group and for sparing their lives despite the pandemic ravaging the whole world, which has already claimed several lives.
The group leader, Alh Wahab Adebisi, who doubles as the Secretary of Ibadan North East LG and also the Youth Leader of the party, in his own remarks, encouraged members to be steadfast, and remain resolute despite the challenges they have faced in the past.
The group spokesperson, Mr Akintoye Ekun urged members to learn from their previous political dealings and to be more deliberate about future political moves. He reckoned that mistakes are facts of life and that it is the response to error that counts.
While congratulating the group on previous achievements, Ekun noted that a group that has successfully installed Council Chairman, Federal representative and others is a champion in its own right. He charged the members to strengthen their zeal and to be forward looking.
Individual members respectively appraised the group previous engagements and re-dedicated themselves to the future course of the group with an agreement to do many things differently.
Africano Trumpeters Newspaper reliably gathered that at the end of their discourse, the group resolved as follows:
“To reactivate all support legs of the group, particularly with regards to ward and zonal coordinators.
To maintain harmonious and cordial relationships with party leaders and elders.
To rejig her contact and mobilization strategies, to drive more members to APC.
To be known and addressed henceforth as “Rescue Team Plus” to accommodate useful inclusion and connect new frontiers.
Notable members present at the meeting were the incumbent Vice Chairman, Ibadan Northeast LG, Hon. Saheed Adegbite Ora, Chief of Staff in Ibadan Northeast Local Government, Hon. Adegbola Oluwaseun (Ttt), Deputy Leader, Ibadan Northeast legislative council Hon. Abass Afeez, Vice chairman ward 7, Ibadan North East LG, Hon. Sola Oyewale, Hon. Nurudeen Bolaji, Hon.Soji Ademola and other registered members of the group.
