Position: Ace Presenter, Ade Lawal Hosts Renown Movie Director, Yemi Yusuf in Kogi.

Position(Ipo), the great series film production which speaks about the present and future of our great Nation, Nigeria, was produced by the Renown Movie Director, Yemi Yusuf.

The Ace Presenter, Ade Lawal of Best Entertainer Royal FM, has on November 8, interviewed the most sought after Movie Director, Writer and Actor, Yemi Yusuf over his recently produced series production tittled Ipo(Position), In Lokoja, Kogi State.

Yemi Yusuf is a prominent figure in the industry. He has been in the industry for the past 27years. He has featured in many movies so far and directed numerous movies, too.

Yemi Yusuf while speaking to best entertainment on Royal FM on the upcoming project titled Position(Ipo), stated as follows

Yemi Yusuf while speaking to best entertainment on Royal FM on the upcoming project titled Position(Ipo), stated as follows,”I’m Yemi Yusuf, an indigene of Ibadan,in Oyo state. I was born 50yrs ago in Agbo Compound, situated in Ibadan. As filmmaker, I was trained by Honourable Yaya Olatunde Adetunji, the founder of YOAP Communication, many year’s ago before I became certified. Few movies shot when I was a trainee were Opa Aje powdered by looto back then. Cellulud was used in shooting, back then before improvement and development take place.

While hosting him, the Presenter, Ade Lawal said that,”Yemi Yusuf made has made us to know how tedious it was before the development of latest improvement in the industry, starting from camera type, sound tools, recording and editing, which is far more different and better now. He also made us to know that his stories are Epic and research filled. One of those is Moremi, an Epic movie which has been endorsed by the government and certified as educational material for all ages.

Yemi Yusuf also stated,”The challenges in production and poor profits as well the challenges of piracy which has made it very difficult for producers to earn large profits. He pleaded with the government to look into it and curb piracy.

“Meanwhile, huge amount of money is paid to censor board and copyright commission which isn’t yet effective and implemented. Many producers go through a lot to raise funds to run production, and in the end piracy has sent lots of producers to bankruptcy which some are yet to recover from it”, Yemi Yusuf lamented.

Ade Lawal interrogated Yemi Yusuf further on the details of the upcoming project,’Position’ which is already trending at home and in diasporas.

While responding, Mr Yemi Yusuf revealed that the CEO of EEx entertainment located in UK, Mrs Kemi Maradeyo has been a long time friend and colleague in the industry. Yusuf said that they both started as juvenile in the industry before she relocated abroad.”She’s the producer of Green snake, Butterfly, Red Wine among others, but the most recent upcoming one, ‘Position’ has a lot to unravel on politics and power in ‘Ilu Nla’, which consists of about three major tribes and sub regions governed by different rulers who actually used their powers to oppress the citizens, just because they feel they are born to rule.

He further stated that the series production also treated,”Why did a one time sweet central city became a home of sorrow, misconception, distrust, supremacy, and why does it has to end in war and blood bath? Why were the past ruler imprisoned, poisoned and murdered? what’s the way out? Find out more in this upcoming project titled Position, a 39 episode series, which its writing take about 6month, with about 1000 cast, and more than 100 Crew.

He revealed that,”All production equipments are imported from UK. Some crew are also coming abroad while some are in Nigeria. All departments consist more than three members, in a crew per department. The estimated amount of production is worth almost 30million.

Yemi Yusuf maintained that,”The producer wants every actor to have enough time, freedom, health and welfare taken care of. Actors will be paid on weekly basis. Security of all cast are in place to enable all cast to be well catered for. The total shooting will take place for 45days, with each actor spending minimum of one week.

Speaking about enrollment of new cast, Yemi Yusuf said,”Enrollment of new cast for the project has ended. Screening and casting have already been scheduled. What’s left now is publicity for the project,and sharing of script for the project”, he revealed.

“Mrs Kemi Maradeyo is a citizen of Nigeria. She is known for deep and breathtaking movie story productions. This project is not financed to tackle any politician in power. It will be shot across three states in Nigeria, Oyo state, in Ibadan, Kogi state, in Lokoja, and FCT, in Abuja. Shooting in Abuja entails shooting in the National Assembly, which will be taking us through citizens and its civic rights. Its sole aim is to spread peace among citizens, and to foster unity between country’s leadership and subordinates.

“Yemi Yusuf is chosen to shoot this project by the grace of God, seeing through his devotion in the industry and previous impact. The premier of the movie will be shown across all platform including DSTv, and EEX entertainment in UK platform. It’s going to be widely circulated by God’s grace. And all our plans towards the success of the project should yield positive results, by God’s grace”, the presenter submitted.
