Zero Tolerance for Social Immoralities Initiative (ZETSI Africa) has announced the organisation of the First North East Young Entrepreneurship Summit, a landmark three-day initiative designed to empower young entrepreneurs and stimulate sustainable economic development across the North East region of Nigeria.

The Summit, powered by the North East Development Commission (NEDC), is being implemented in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and other key public and private sector stakeholders. It is structured to equip 250 selected young entrepreneurs from the six Northeast states with practical skills, mentorship, and access to opportunities that will enhance enterprise growth, innovation, and job creation.

The programme will run for three days, comprising two days of intensive mentorship and entrepreneurship training sessions conducted virtually via Zoom, followed by a grand closing ceremony on Thursday, 18th December, 2025, by 10:00am, at FORSHAMS Event Centre, No. 3, Dapcharima Road, Maiduguri, Borno State.

A major highlight of the closing ceremony will be the award of grants to twenty (20) outstanding participants, selected from the pool of 250 participants based on performance, innovation, and business viability. In addition, the overall winner of the Business Pitch Competition will receive a cash prize of ₦1,000,000 to support business take-off or expansion.

ZETSI Africa noted that the Summit aligns with national youth empowerment and entrepreneurship development priorities, providing a platform to nurture innovation, promote self-reliance, and contribute to peacebuilding and economic recovery in the Northeast.

The organisation calls on development partners, the private sector, and stakeholders to support and identify with this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to impactful programming and sustainable youth development.
