President Tinubu’s Tax Reform Bill Will Foster Economic Growth, Equity – Oyo APC Chieftain, Oladiran Alabi
Honourable Oladiran Alabi, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has urged citizens to carefully examine the proposed tax reform bill and engage constructively with the federal government regarding any concerns they may have.
Hon. Alabi emphasised the importance of collective interest, encouraging groups, caucuses, and individuals who feel the bill may disadvantage them to assess it thoroughly, share their perspectives with the government, and prioritise the nation’s well-being.
Alabi expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to Nigeria’s betterment, stating, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu meant well for Nigeria, and his policies are for the betterment of Nigeria and for everyone.”
According to the APC Stalwart, Hon. Alabi, the proposed tax reform bill aims to overhaul Nigeria’s outdated tax system, promoting economic growth, improving revenue generation, and ensuring a fairer tax system for all Nigerians.
“The bill introduces several key provisions, including streamlining tax processes, new tax brackets, increased tax compliance, and measures to attract foreign investment,” Alabi revealed.
Alabi hinted,”According to experts, the tax reform is essential for Nigeria’s economic development, as it can help reduce tax evasion and avoidance, promote economic growth, and increase government revenue.
