Prince Akinremi “Jagaban”: A Victor in Motion !! By Bashiru Aderinto.
Member, House of Representatives(MHR) from Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Prince Olaide Akinremi popularly known as Jagaban is a victor in motion. He is a rare gem and blessing to humanity.
Of course, Prince Akinremi is a hero with many capes. He reaches out to people without discriminating against them, either based on their region or religion, colour or creed.
Prince Akinremi is not only a business magnate who uses his financial resources to better the lots of the less privileged, but also, he is a notable philanthropist who puts smiles on the faces of the indigent.
Prince Akinremi is a noble personality who helps the plebs and fraternizes with princes.
Jagaban of the universe does not only give fishes but also he teaches how to go fishing. He is a typical benefactor that Yorubas call “Odaso Fun Eniyan Daso Fun Egungun”.
Olaide is a gifted master in the act and art of charismatic mode of leadership, thus, he is qualified to be described as the one that the Greek Philosopher, Plato called a philosopher-king that must lead an ideal community.
Akinremi is a man of depth. He is is a bridge-builder who has a third ear to listen to unheard voices and act, responsively.
Today, many African leaders lack empathy. Many of them have no conscience or human feelings that you can appeal to. These are reasons that many people, and electorates, groan in pains and bite their fingers in regrets after electing such ‘reactionary leaders’. Meanwhile, Akinremi is distinct and distinguished. His soft spots are tender heart and merciful mind. Thus, he can be perfectly described as “Eleyinju Aanu”. He can’t just do without helping people ‘bountifully’.
“Olaide Omo Akinremi” is not only virtuous but also integrous. If you call him hero of masses, you are right. If you call him liberator of commoners, you are perfect. If you call him a core progressive, you nail it. If you describe him as ‘a servant leader’ to the party members, you get it. If you say he is a lover of youth, you don’t miss it at all. Above all, he is an unrepentant glorifier of God and lover of humanity. His watchword remains ‘people, people, and people”.
Jagaban of The Universe! Sir, we’ve never doubted your innate quality as a born leader that mentors young ones and engages elders, empathetically.
Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban is an unalloyed ‘Omoluabi’, seasoned legislator, courageous helmsman and organic leader. He’s interpersonally charismatic, benevolently supportive, philanthropically accessible, generously inclined, responsively conscious, locally grass-rooted, and nationally detribalized.
One good turn, they say it deserves another one.
