Prof Akande Threatens To Sue “Naija Today News Online” Over Libelous Publication, Demands 10 Billion Naira Damages.

Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Professor Adeolu Akande has threatened to sue an online newspaper, “Naija Today News online” over a libelous publication asking President Muhammadu Buhari to relieve him and some others of their appointments.

The NCC boss in a letter by his Attorney, Ahmed Raji,SAN has given The Editor of Today News online, Mr Adetunji Fabode seven consecutive days to pull down the said publication on their website with the caption “APC Group Slams Adeolu,Dare, Shittu, others over Destabilization Plot, Asks Buhari to Relief Them of Appointments” and publish a public apology in at least 5 (five) national daily newspapers within a day of receipt of the letter.

Professor Akande was also demanding for a sum of 10 billion naira as damages failure of which could lead to litigation.
