Public Notice: Reactivation of APC Membership

This is to inform the general public that I have decided to rejoin the All Progressives Congress, Oyo State Chapter.

I made public the withdrawal of my membership of the party on 20th August, 2022 due to my decision to render my support to some political candidates which cut across both APC and Accord. I took the decision then without consultation with anybody to be able to freely campaign for my preferred candidates without the guilt and allegation of anti-party activities.

Owing to the prevailing political circumstances in Oyo State now, I feel it is essential to return to APC, the first party I would ever join in my over 50 years on earth, so I can join hands with fellow party men and women to return APC to Agodi Government Office and House in the forthcoming governorship election.

Therefore, I am pledging my unflinching support and absolute loyalty to the governorship candidature of Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, OON, and to work assiduously for his emergence as the next Governor of Oyo State. I have realised the need to chase away the “Thief who is not satisfied with one trip” before he wreaks more havoc on our dear Oyo State.

I have consulted tonight with my small circle of political likeminds and we have all agreed to work and mobilise for the APC Governorship Candidate. I will return to my Ward 3, Constituency 1, Ibadan South West Local Government to inform my Leader, Hon Subair Hassan Kehinde of my decision and to get further instructions on how to continue to work to actualise Senator Teslim Folarin’s mandate.

I do not seek commendation for my decision to return to my original party. It doesn’t mean that whoever wishes to cannot condemn my move. I have made a decision I consider necessary in the interest of Oyo State and I do not owe anybody any explanation. I was never a member of Accord Party, so I owe no allegiance to any politician or candidate. As Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President-in-waiting, would say, ‘Mi o gba owo, mi o gba contract, mi o si gba fura lowo oloselu kankan’😆😆😆. I have brought this to the public so that people will know where I stand as far as Oyo politics is concerned. I never like to be ambivalent.

I have to reiterate that this decision to rejoin APC and work for our candidates is FINAL. May God spare our lives in great health to vote for and have Senator Teslim Folarin returned as the next Governor of Oyo State.
