Like father like son. This is when ingenuity, professionalism and competence have become a family identity.
Indeed, this is a case study of the Late Veteran Actor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan(UI), Dr Lárìndé Akinlẹ̀yẹ and his heir, who is a born Leader and an astute Politician, Hon. Délé Akinlẹ̀yẹ. Délé Akinlẹ̀yẹ is, presently, vying for the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo state.
Dr Lárìndé Akinlẹ̀yẹ was not only ingenious and competent in his acting and teaching careers but he was undoubtedly, a seasoned professional and erudite scholar.
Also, his son, Délé Akinlẹ̀yẹ has been privileged to serve and showcase his leadership qualities, talent, knowledge, exposure and experience, especially, in politics, at various strata.
Délé Akinlẹ̀yẹ has served as the Secretary, Alliance for Democracy(AD), Saki West and Oke-Ogun, between 1999 and early 2000.
Progressively, he later became Oyo State Secretary, Action Congress(AC)/Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN).
Politically, he was appointed as Personal Assistant(PA) to a Deputy Governor of Oyo-State, between 1999 – 2003. Also, he was appointed as Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to a former Governor of Oyo State
Dele Akinleye is resourceful and charismatic. Such like his father, he is ingenious and competent.
He has courage and carriage, capacity and capability, stamina and potentials, to perform, excellently, as helmsman, at a all strata of positions of authority and responsibility.
In records, Dele Akinleye has performed outstandingly in all offices he has previously held and this is a clear objective metric that he will definitely make Oyo APC proud, if the mandate is given, to him, as the next party’s gaffer, at the rescheduled congress of the party.
