Engr Muftau Open Salawu is an illustrious son of the soil from Ogbomoso, Oyo state.

The young Muftau Open Salawu attended Model Primary school, Bida and St. Clare’s Nursery and Primary School , Osogbo for his primary education. He proceeded to Government College, Bida for his post- primary and secondary education.

For his tertiary education, Open Salawu attended Federal Polytechnic, Bida . And as an unalloyed lover of education, Muftau Open Salawu later proceeded to Federal University of Technology Akure, Federal University of Technology Minna and Harvard University, USA.

Open Salawu holds Master Degree in Engineering (Structure). He is registered with COREN. He is a Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Member, Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Member, Chartered Institute of Waste Management,(CIWM), UK and a Fellow of Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (FNATE).

Engr Open Salawu was former Special Adviser on Works and Transport to Oyo State Government under His Excellency, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, former Governor of Oyo State.

Presently, Engr Open Salawu is the Executive Assistant(EA) on Project Monitoring to the Executive Governor of Oyo-State, Engr Seyi Makinde.

The engineering luminary , Open Salawu is the Trustee of 7th Avenue Islamic Centre and President, Open Integration of Learning Foundation(Oil foundation).
