Young Mohammed Badaru Abubakar was Born on September 29, 1962 at Babura Town in Jigawa State of Nigeria.
For his primary school education, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar attended Babura Central Primary School, Babura Local Government Area of Jigawa State and
Rumfa Collage Kano, Kano State.
For his secondary school education, Badaru attended Rumfa Collage Kano, Kano State.
Mohammed Badaru Abubakar is a chartered accountant with a B.Sc. in Accounting from one of Nigeria’s premier institutions, the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria and also an Alumnus of the glorious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies(NIPSS).
Apart from being a member of the National institute, Mohammed Badaru is a fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, FCNA and a holder of the Member of the Order of the Niger, MON conferred on him in 2006.
Mohammed Badaru Abubakar was the 17th National President of the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and honoured with honourary Life Vice President of the Association.
Prior to his foray into politics which culminated in his currently being a second term Governor of Jigawa state, he was an accomplished industrialist and business man with interests in Shipping, haulage, manufacturing, real estate and commodity trading with offices in Europe and several African countries.
Badaru is presently the Chairman of the implementation committee on the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative (PFI) as well as the Presidential Committee on Zero Oil export initiative and a member of the Presidential Rice and Wheat production committee.
In his second term as Governor, Badaru Abubakar is credited with attracting over $2 billion in Agricultural mega investments from the likes of Dangote and other blue-chip conglomerates and has reformed the Agricultural sector for improved productivity and competitiveness.
Badaru holds the Traditional titles of Sardaunan Ringim, Walin Jahun, Walin Hadejia, Danmalikin Machina in Yobe State and Wambai of Damagaran in Zinder region of Niger Republic respectively.
Badaru is happily married and blessed with prospeous children.
