Public Figure: Let’s Meet Oyo Central Senatorial Hopeful, Hon Daniel Abimbola Kolade.

He is the immediate past commissioner for local government and chieftaincy matters, in Oyo State, and Oyo central senatorial hopeful. His name is Hon. Daniel Abimbola Kolade(DAK).

Let’s Meet Hon. Abimbola Daniel Kolade:

Daniel Abimbola Kolade (DAK) is an accomplished native of Fiditi in Afijio Local Government Area(LGA) of Oyo State.

Abimbola Kolade had his secondary education at St. Charles Grammar School, Osogbo and he was at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife for his Bachelor’s degree in Building. Also, he obtained a Master degree in Housing Development from University of Ibadan(UI). He has also attended various management courses in Lagos Business School.

Abimbola Kolade has, previously, worked with Tower Aluminum Nigeria PLC, building products division where he rose to become the sales and marketing manager and the most senior Nigerian within the establishment.

While in Tower, Kolade handled the roofing of Muritala Muhammed Airport (MMA2) and Dangote cement plant at Obajana. He left tower Aluminum to establish his own company “DAK Roofing Systems Ltd” where he is the President and CEO of this solution-oriented company.

To attest to his core professional competence, he belongs to the following professional bodies and he is a:
Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Building, Incorporated Member, Chartered Institute of Building (UK),
Member, Nigerian Institute of Management,
Associate Member, National Institute Marketing of Nigeria,
Member, National Roofing Contractor Association (USA) and
Registered Member, Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria.

Kolade is a recipient of numerous awards in recognition of his significant contributions to his immediate community, professional bodies and civic organizations. He is a recipient of the following awards:
Distinguished Fiditian Award from Fiditi Students Union;
Distinguished Alumnus Award Ife Varsity from Association of Building Students, Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Ile Ife Osun State;
Great Achievers Award from Faculty of Environmental Design and Management, Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Ile-Ife;
Shield of Honour from Nigerian University Accounting Student Association, University of Ilorin Chapter; Distinguished Charlean Award from Old Boys St. Charles Grammar School Osogbo;
Distinguished Award of Excellence from Nigerian Institute of Building;
Recognition Award from Pan African Society for Rural Development and Social Protection.

Daniel Abimbola Kolade is the immediate past Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matter in Oyo State. He also had served as the Honourable commissioner in the following ministries; Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, Ministry of Lands, Housing and Surveying and Ministry of Works.

Kolade, currently, serves as the Federal Commissioner representing Oyo State under the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission in Abuja.
He is also the 2nd Vice President of the Nigerian Institute of Building in Nigeria.
Kolade loves photography as a hobby and spends his time positively impacting young people and continuously learning great wisdom from the elderly.
