Ramadan: Let’s Pray for Nigerian Ethnic Groups’ Unity and Peaceful Coexistence- Oyo Guber Hopeful, Mogaji Joseph Tegbe Urges.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has urged the Muslim faithful to use this period of holy month, Ramadan, to pray for the unity and peaceful co-existence of the country’s ethnic groups, and shun divisive tendencies capable of drawing back the country’s wheel of progress.

While speaking at a Special Iftar session hosted by Ibadan APC Chieftain, Oloye Akinade Fìjàbi, Mogaji Tegbe noted that, “the last ten days of Ramadan provide opportunities to gain multiple rewards by giving ‘sadaqa’ to the needy for the sake of seeking the delight of Allah.

Tegbe stated that, “of particular note, Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree also known as Night of Power, is one of the most sacred nights in the Islamic calendar which occurs in the last ten days of Ramadan. It is also believed to be the night in which Allah shows great mercy to His creation and the night in which one’s fate is decreed.

“The Great Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever prays on Laylatul Qadr out of faith and sincerity, shall have all their past sins forgiven, (Hadith, Bukhari and Muslim).

Mogaji Tegbe further noted that Ramadan fasting symbolizes spiritual rejuvenation. He urged our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to adhere to the teachings of Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) which instructs us all to be our brother’s keepers and ensure service to humanity.
