As the Muslims all over the world have commenced Ramadan fasting, A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and 2023 Oyo State House of Assembly Hopeful from Ibadan North Constituency -II, Asiwaju Adekola Mudashir has felicitated with the Muslims in the state, Nigeria and world at large on the observance of this year holy month of Ramadan.
The influential Youth Leader in the State, Adekola encouraged the faithful to love each other and to be generous towards people.
“I’m happy to greet our Muslim brothers and sisters who have started the observance of Ramadan fasting. This is not, merely, a season of abstinence from food, drink, and worldly pleasures. It is a time to pray for our dear state and Nigeria. It is a period to give to the needy and be generous towards each other”, the successful Agropreneur, Adekola reiterated.
The media enthusiast, Adekola said, “I prayed to Almighty Allah to accept our sacrifices, our dua’s as an acts of Ibadah and may He increase the unity, solidarity, peace and prosperity of our dear state and Nigeria as a country.
Ramadan (Arabic: رَمَضَان, romanized: Ramaḍān[ra.ma.dˤaːn]) is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting(sawm), prayer, reflection and community. A commemoration of Prophet Muhammad’s first revelation, the annual observance of Ramadan is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam and lasts twenty-nine to thirty days, from one sighting of the crescent moon to the next.
