As the Muslims all over the world commence Ramadan fasting, All Progressives Congress(APC) 2023 Oyo South Senatorial Hopeful, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi has encouraged the faithful to pray for the state and country at large, to overcome the current security and other challenges confronting the nation.
The former Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS), Adekanmbi stressed that as we observe the mandatory fasting period, Muslims should engage more in prayers, alms giving and constant reading, and understanding, of the Holy Quran.
“All these virtuous acts and charity will definitely move us closer to the Almighty God, the most beneficent and the most merciful. Glory be to God, this year’s Ramadan fasting is to be observed in more fraternal way rather than that of last year.
Let’s use the opportunity of the festive period to call for God’s divine intervention to combat the security challenges and other menaces confronting the nation.
The former Oyo-State Commissioner for Finance, Adekanmbi appealed to well meaning Nigerians to remember the needy by extending gifts to facilitate their observance of Ramadan fasting.
Ibadan born financial pundit, Adekanmbi prayed to the Almighty God to accept the fasting of the faithful as an act of Ibadah and rescue the nation from the clog of insecurity and cleanse the world of continual spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
