As Muslims begin the holy month of fasting, Ramadan, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai of Oyo North district has rejoiced with the faithful charging them to use the grace in the holy month to pray for peace and unity in every parts of Nigeria.
Senator Buhari in a press release titled “Passionate Appeal to Nigerian Muslims for peace and unity in every part of the country”, which was made available to journalists early this morning said despite the challenges facing the country, Muslims should see the opportunity to witness the holy month as a privilege to charge God to reposition and restructure Nigeria for the better livings of all and sundry.
He congratulated all Muslims in Oyo North, Oyo State and Nigeria in general on their favour from God to witness the beginning of another month of forgiveness and blessings while he prayed that God shall accept all their deeds in the holy month as acts of worship.
Buhari admonished them to uphold the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad during and after the holy month by extending philanthropic gestures to the less privileged being one of the teachings of the month.
“We don’t need to be told before we know that the country, Nigeria needs our prayer for its stability and continuous existence. We’re facing wicked attacks of terrorists, bandits and ritualists, all of which have sent many Nigerians to early graves. I enjoined you all to use the occasion of this holy month to appeal for Allah’s mercies so that lives and properties can be well protected against those evil doers”,Senator Buhari said.
Buhari wished all Muslims a rewarding holy month and many happy returns of it in sound health with abundant blessings.
